Having just returned from yet another visit to Carvoeiro we can happily report that the number of people in the town looked high for the time of year in early season, the restaurants and bars were doing good business.
We spent one evening in the lovely quiet Ma - Ja's restaurant in Rua do Casino away from the noise and heat of restaurant hill. To our delight the evening was the best of the holiday with a menu of home cooked fare from traditional English dishes through to Nachos and Tacos - a change from the normal Carvoeiro restaurant offerings.
Better still Ma-Ja's have introduced a set meal with 3 courses and a drink all for 7,50 euros available at unchtime and early evening between 18.00-19.00. Great choice, great food and great value. So for those on a budget or just wanting to try somewhere new Ma-Ja's is worth the short walk.
